We have been recognised from the Italian Customs Authority as meeting the following criteria and specific requirements:

• customs compliance
• appropriate record-keeping
• financial solvency
• security and safety standards

Being recognised as an AEO will then constitute an added value for ITX Cargo, as it demonstrates compliance with solid security criteria and controls, providing then a competitive advantage to our clients who will get benefit of a safer and more secure end-to-end supply chain.

30/03/2012 – We would like to inform you that ITX Cargo will be closed for bank holiday on Monday the 9th of April.

Due to the following driving bans in Italy, we recommend you to check with our operational department the status of any collection and delivery.

• Friday 06/04:        from 14:00 to 22:00 hrs
• Saturday 07/04:    from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs
• Monday 09/04:      from 08:00 to 22:00 hrs
• Tuesday 10/04:      from 08:00 to 14:00 hrs

Collections and deliveries in many areas of Italy are delayed or even heavily postponed, particularly in some areas of the center and south of the pensinsula.

Eastern Europe is the region most affected by this wave of arctic ice: Bulgaria is completely isolated, and borders are closed. In Romania, many roads and motorways are closed to traffic. Poland, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia are viable, but with difficulties and delays.

The situation in the rest of Europe is more or less the same, with some roads closed to traffic in Germany and France which make it difficult to reach United Kingdom (moreover, the connections Calais-Dover is operating well below capacity), Scandinavia and Baltic Countries.

Greater restrictions are in force for vehicles carrying hazardous cargo.

It goes without saying that we cannot guarantee any transit times at present, and it is advisable that you stay in contact with our operational team for further details.

Hauliers and truck drivers are organising traffic stops on roads and highways all along the peninsula in order to create serious disruption to traffic, even for those who do not adhere to this form of protest.

This may result in delays in collections and deliveries to/from all Italy areas for all week long.

For this reason we ask you to keep in touch with our operations staff to get updates on the status of your shipments.

We have been advised by our Spanish partner, Aliè S.A., that there will be a strike in Catalunya (Barcelona area) of all international and domestic hauliers on 21st, 22nd & 23rd December. This will undoubtedly affect collections and deliveries, and with the Christmas period upon us, will in some cases defer the same until the New Year.

In Milan area, there will also be a local holiday on Wednesday the 7th.

- 8/12/2011: driving ban from 0800 – 2200hrs

ITX Cargo Milan and Verona will be closed on Thursday the 8th only.
